The
SFJAZZ Mobile App is back! By providing on-the-go, in-depth information on upcoming shows and educational programs, the
SFJAZZ App tailors to our increasingly mobilized lifestyle, and lets you purchase tickets remotely, wherever, whenever. Below is a brief walk-through of the
free SFJAZZ App, easily downloadable from
Google Play or the
iTunes App Store.
What's On: A complete Season 2 digital program, with intimate images of your favorite artists! (iPhone)
For a complete Season 2 line-up, see
What's On. From there, you can select any Season 2 artist (see
Terence Blanchard above), purchase tickets, view details on the artist and personnel, dig on audio clips and photographs, as well as blog posts and
Twitter newsfeeds. You can even share an event and invite friends on
Facebook, or join the conversation about an artist on Twitter. The
Calendar view also provides a month-by-month picture.
Plenty of media to be had--from videos, images and audio clips, to blog posts and Twitter feeds (Android)
Browsing through the App, you'll discover
News, which links to the
SFJAZZ Blog;
Tweet, which syncs up to
Twitter;
Videos, featuring live concerts at the
SFJAZZ Center, the
SFJAZZ Collective, and educational programs; as well as
Audio, a playlist of Season 2 artists you can dig on. With such a great wealth of media and information, the SFJAZZ App is an immensely useful resource and supplement for SFJAZZ regulars and newcomers alike.
A complete list of SFJAZZ venues, with directions, parking facilities, and even a good, local eatery (iPhone)
Finally, the SFJAZZ App Venues directly links up to Google Maps and recommends directions, parking facilities, and public transportation. Restaurants in Getting There (see the home page above) features SOUTH at SFJAZZ, the New-Orleans themed restaurant and bar on the ground-level of the Center (which is now open for lunch!).
Stay Tuned:
You can expect even more in the future--additional concerts and educational programs, the option to select your own seat, as well as up-to-date media, news and ticket information.
