Photographer Henrik Kam highlights some of his favorite shots featuring a variety of unexpected elements found at the SFJAZZ Center construction site.
HK: I find that one of the most fascinating aspects of having total access to a construction site like the SFJAZZ Center is the encounter with the unexpected. Framing up the unintentional still life in the viewfinder and zeroing in on the often baffling markings (to me at least), are real thrills on a par with finding order and rhythm in a pile of chaotically juxtaposed elements.
