SFJAZZ Collective Fall 2013 Tour

The SFJAZZ Collective have been rehearsing the past two weeks in preparation for both, their exciting upcoming US Fall Tour and their residency this week at the SFJAZZ Center, which kicks off this Thursday. To celebrate the group's 10th Anniversary, the band will be performing a wide range of material spanning the 10 years of the group's existence, including compositions by Ornette Coleman, John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, Thelonious Monk, Wayne Shorter, McCoy Tyner, Horace Silver, Stevie Wonder and Chick Corea. During each performance, the group will also be playing a number of original compositions mostly taken from their brand new CD release Live: SFJAZZ Center 2013 - The Music of Chick Corea & New Compositions, which was recorded in the Robert N. Miner Auditorium back in March. Following the show each night during their SFJAZZ Center residency, their will be a meet & greet/ CD signing event with selective members of the band.
