Zakir Hussain plays the SFJAZZ Center

During a recent tour of the SFJAZZ Center, legendary tabla virtuoso Zakir Hussain performs an improvised rhythm on the building's grand staircase which, as proven in the video above, is properly tuned.

Zakir Hussain's residency at the SFJAZZ Center takes place March 5-10 and features many great artists including Giovanni Hidalgo, Eric Harland, Steve Smith, Joshua Redman, Béla Fleck & more!
