The Joe Henderson Lab kicked off it's opening week with last night's first Monday Night Band rehearsal. Monday Night Band is a new hands-on SFJAZZ education program that will introduce participants to various styles and genres of jazz with the primary goal to develop a performance-ready repertoire. The band will be directed by acclaimed Bay Area musician, composer and bandleader Adam Theis. The series will culminate in a final public performance on Monday, May 20th in SFJAZZ Center's Robert N. Miner Auditorium.
