From the Ground Up: January 8, 2013

With the historic opening of the SFJAZZ Center less than 13 days away, photographer Henrik Kam highlights one the building's lesser known, yet fascinating features.

HK: One of the many really lovely features of the Robert N. Miner Auditorium is definitely the soft daylight which floods in from the north facing windows on the Linden Alley side. It'll be modulated and controlled by horizontal slats akin to the grey-painted wooden slats which cover practically every surface in the auditorium.
