From the Ground Up: January 15, 2012

With the historic opening of the SFJAZZ Center less than one week away, photographer Henrik Kam provides us with a look at the finished auditorium.

HK: I thought these two images from last night's private appreciation event would be a good entry for this week's blog post. Shown in the second photo below is SFJAZZ Executive Operating Director Felice Swapp speaking on stage in the finished Robert N. Miner Auditorium, profusely thanking everyone whose hard work contributed to the construction of the SFJAZZ Center. Projected on the background wall is a continuing slide show of my images of the workers doing their thing.
